[origin: ES8602986A1] Horizontally bonded loops of an elasthane yarn are inserted into the stitches of the basic warp knitted fabric, to give a bi-stretch material. The basic warp knitted fabric is made of yarns with a hard fibre character. The elasthane yarn has a stretch of at least 250%, pref. a stretch of 450-650%, and has a titre of 10-960 dtex.

Bi-elastische Kettenwirkware mit ausgewogenem Verhalten der elastischen Kräfte in Längs- und Querrichtung wird erhalten, indem man Elasthangarn als Schlußfaden beim Maschenbildungsvorgang in der Fang- oder der Legestellung unter die Nadelspitzen führt, wodurch beim Anschlagen Fadenschleifen gebildet werden.
