In a slotted doctor blade which is preferably formed as a closed slotted doctor blade system, there is arranged on the underside of the tubular slotted doctor blade body at least one tape, if appropriate two tapes or strips, which consist of a material having a good sliding property and which also have a good sealing-off property in respect of the screen, preferably a rotating screen cylinder. These bounded strips thus consist of a sealing, easily sliding material, preferably plastic, sinter material or the like. Towards the application region, they may be of increasing or decreasing thickness. The operating height of the slotted doctor blade can be influenced by this tape or strip. If appropriate, the tapes or strips may also be adjustable. The slotted doctor blade body is supported from the inside by counter-pressure bodies. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Schlitzrakel, die vorzugsweise ein geschlossenes Schlitzrakelsystem bildet, ist an der Unterseite des rohrartigen Schlitzrakelkörpers mindestens ein Band, ggf. zwei Bänder oder Streifen angeordnet, die aus einem Material bestehen mit guter Gleiteigenschaft und die gleichzeitig eine gute Abdichtungseigenschaft haben zur Schablone, vorzugsweise einem rotierenden Siebzylinder. Diese begrenzten Streifen bestehen somit aus dichtendem, leicht gleitendem Material, vorzugsweise Kunststoff, Sintermaterial od. dgl. Sie können zum Auftragsbereich hin verstärkt oder auch abfallend ausgebildet sein. Mit diesem Band oder Streifen ist die Arbeitshöhe der Schlitzrakel beeinflussbar. Ggf. können die Bänder oder Streifen auch einstellbar sein. Von Innen wird der Schlitzrakelkörper durch Gegendruckkörper gestützt.
