The tray consists of a base (1), four sidewalls (2) and four edge supports (3) which are attached in the corners and project above the height of the sidewalls (2). A simple, automatic production can be achieved with a sturdy tray and sidewalls (2), which can be printed easily, being produced if the base (1) and sidewalls (2) are made of cardboard from a single-part blank, if the sidewalls (2) are of dual- layer construction and if a tab (7) of the dual-wall sidewall (2) is bonded to the surface (8) of the edge support (3) facing the inside of the tray. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Steige für Obst und Gemüse, bestehend aus einem Boden (1), vier Seitenwänden (2) und vier in den Ecken befestigten, die Höhe der Seitenwände (2) überragenden Kantsützen (3), läßt sich eine einfache automatische Fertigung erzielen, wobei die Herstellung einer stabilen Steige mit gut bedruckbaren Seitenwänden (2) erreicht wird, wenn Boden (1) und Seitenwände (2) aus Pappe aus einem einteiligen Zuschnitt hergestellt sind, wenn die Seitenwände (2) doppellagig ausgebildet sind und wenn ein Lappen (7) der doppelwandigen Seitenwand (2) mit der zur Steigeninnenseite zeigende Fläche (8) der Kantstütze (3) verklebt ist.
