In a fan having an axial blower and an air guide duct arranged around the axial blower in the fan housing, the air inlet and air outlet ends of the said duct being covered by grilles, a filter body (12) for the intake air is fixedly or detachably attached to the fan housing (1) at least over a part of the cross-section of the air inlet end, in order to remove dust particles from the blower air. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Lüfter mit Axialgebläse und einem im Lüftergehäuse um das Axialgebläse angeordneten Luftführungskanal, dessen Luftein- und Luftaustrittsenden durch Gitter übergriffen sind, ist zum Zwecke der Befreiung der Gebläseluft von Staubteilchen mindestens über einen Teilquerschnitt des Lufteintrittsendes ein Filterkörper (12) für die Zuluft fest oder lösbar fest am Lüftergehäuse (1) angeordnet.
