1. A cladding element comprising a panel (1) of thermally insulating and rigid material, one of the faces of which carries evenly spaced-apart bosses and a facing plate (2) of rigid and strong material, such as asbestos cement or polyester concrete, which is adhered to the bosses (4, 40) and defines with the panel (1) a layer of air, characterized in that the panel (1) only comprises a few bosses (4, 6, 40) which are spaced from one another in the two directions of the insulating panel (1) and which occupy only about 20 % of the area of this panel, and the facing plate (2) is shorter than the insulating panel (1) so that is cannot come into contact with the facing plate of a juxtaposed element and the vertical joint (14) between these elements remains open, which permits the ventilation and the equalization of the air pressures on each side of the facing plate.

L'élément de vêture comporte un panneau (1) thermiquement isolant et rigide, qui forme sur l'une de ses faces quelques bossages (4) éloignés les uns des autres. Un parement rigide (2), collé sur ces bossages, délimite ainsi une lame d'air avec le panneau (1). Les tranches opposées du panneau ont des formes complémentaires mais le panneau a une épaisseur croissante vers le bas. Le parement (2) se prolonge au-delà de la tranche inférieure du panneau en ayant une largeur inférieure à celle de ce dernier. Par suite, lors de la pose de la vêture, les joints entre paraments sont tous ouverts et la lame d'air est ventilée.
