The casing has the shape of a closed ring which has a U-shaped cross-section. The cross-section is closed by a cover, the opposite sides of the cover being covered by the curved arms of the "U" of the casing. This heating element can be used in the construction of hot plates for domestic appliances such as cookers or cooking surfaces.
