Abstract (en)
The material (B) which is moved to a vertical position is fixed by clamping between two conveying means, at least one of which is constructed as a continuously circulating flat belt (F). The second conveying means is formed by a smooth-faced, curved guide fence (LZ), along whose outwardly arched face the flat belt runs. The coefficient of friction between the flat belt (F) and material (B) in comparison with the coefficient of friction between the material and the guide fence (LZ) and also the contact pressure of the flat belt (F) against the material (B) or the guide fence (LZ) are selected to be of such a magnitude that the material follows the conveying movement of the flat belt. <IMAGE>
