[origin: EP0121379A2] The inked element in ribbon form comprises a flexible plastics base carrier of a thickness of from 5 to 15 mu , covered with a heat-transferable coating of a thickness of 2 to 6 mu . The mixture of the coating comprises a thermoadhesive polymeric resin and a polymeric wax compatible with the resin and with the colouring pigment, in such a way as to permit printing on carriers of any type, having a Bendtsen roughness of between 10 and 500 ml/min. For improved efficient in respect of a black ribbon, added to the black is a mixture of the three complementary colours: yellow, magenta and cyan.
