Thereafter, the film portion is secured in its final position and then cut by an appropriate device arranged at the vicinity of the frame opening. The cutting device (5) is then removed by displacement with respect to the frame (1) held in a fixed position, the film portion is maintained within the frame and the latter is finally closed. Hence, the seizing devices are avoided; furthermore, the film portion (3a) is placed in its correct position within the frame (1). An auxiliary guiding device (8) removed from the film guide (4), arranged on the side opposite to the cutting device (5), provides for the positioning of the film portion, said portion should present the last image of the film without being guided in the guiding conduit (4).

La bande de film (3) est d'abord introduite avant le coupage dans un cadre ouvert (1) placé en position de saisie, jusqu'à ce que la portion de film à encadrer (3a) ait atteint sa position finale dans le cadre. Puis la portion de film est fixée dans sa position finale et ensuite coupée par un dispositif approprié placé à proximité de l'ouverture du cadre. Le dispositif de coupe (5) est ensuite retiré par déplacement relativement au cadre (1) maintenu en position stationnaire, la portion du film est maintenue dans le cadre et celui-ci est finalement fermé. Ainsi sont supprimés les dispositifs de saisie; en outre, la portion de film (3a) est placée dans sa position exacte dans le cadre (1). Un dispositif de guidage auxiliaire (8) retiré au conduit de guidage du film (4), placé du côté opposé à celui du dispositif de coupe (5) assure la mise en position de la portion de film au cas où cette portion présente la dernière image de la bande et n'est plus guidée dans le conduit (4).
