An insert for a till drawer to receive coins, notes and the like, in the form of a through-shaped receptacle (10) which is open at the top and is divided into a number of compartments (21, 24, 25, 26) by vertical longitudinal and transverse partitions (17, 18, 19, 20, 27 ; 13, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23) and, in at least one compartment (26), contains a hold-down device (28) for holding down notes, longitudinal partitions (17, 18, 27) which extend parallel to the direction of displacement of the till drawer being formed as longitudinal partial partitions which are adapted to be inserted into the receptacle between the transverse partitions (13, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23) from above and are provided with catching and anchoring elements (34, 35, 38, 50), characterized in that a guide rail (32) is provided on a transverse partition (14) for displaceable mounting of the hold-down device (28).
