A wrap-around carrier for two rows of bottles - particularly bottles with conical necks - with a base panel, two side panels, a top panel possibly provided with slanting panels that has openings through which the top ends of the bottles project at least to some extent, as well as an additional bottle retaining section that has a flat horizontal surface with holes which the bottle necks can engage and which are located at least a short distance from the top, wherein the additional bottle retaining section (1, 21, 22, 23, 123, 223, 224) has a flat, horizontal section for each of the two rows of the bottles which has holes for the bottle necks.
