Grist mill having millstones (7,8), in the consumable millstone areas of which there are air channels (15,15a,15b;16,16a,16b) staggered in the mill stone depth and having an air channel width with respect to the staggering depth such that with progressive using up of the millstones (7,8) air channels (15,15a,15b;16,16a,16b) are always exposed at the milling gap (17) without subsequent ajdustment. An actuating device (12,13,14) for the width of the milling gap (17), a metering device for the milled material, a sieving device (43,44) with a return device (41,46,47) for excessively coarse grist is disclosed. Advantageously, armouring inserts and brush inserts are provided in the mill stones (7,8) and a crushing device can be mounted centrally in the mill stones (7,8) on the axis (1a). <IMAGE>

Schrotmühle mit Mahlsteinen (7, 8), in deren verbrauchbaren Mahlsteinbereiche Luftfurchen (15, 15a, 15b; 16, 16a, 16b) in der Mahlsteintiefe gestaffelt und mit einer auf die Staffelungstiefe bezogen solchen Luftfurchenweite eingebracht sind, daß bei fortschreitender Abnutzung der Mahlsteine (7, 8) stets Luftfurchen (15, 15a, 15b; 16, 16a, 16b) am Mahlspalt (17) ohne Nacharbeit freiliegen. Eine Stelleinrichtung (12, 13, 14) für die Weite des Mahlspaltes (17), eine Dosiervorrichtung für das Mahlgut, eine Siebvorrichtung (43, 44) mit einer Rückführvorrichtung (41, 46, 47) zu groben Schrotes ist geoffenbart. Vorteilhaft sind Armierungseinlagen und Borsteneinlagen in den Mahlsteinen (7, 8) vorgesehen, und auf der Achse (1a) kann eine Quetschvorrichtung zentral in den Mahlsteinen (7, 8) montiert sein.
