Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0122465A2] 1. Electric switch or button (3), which has, in a housing with lower housing part (1) and housing cover (2), a switching device (12) with two switching rockers (5), which are connected to two large-area operating rockers (3), as well as with a diaphragm (4), which is inserted between lower housing part (1) and housing cover (2), spans continuously the inner space of the lower housing part (1) on which an inner region (4.3), projecting in the shape of a shroud over the two switching rockers (5) of the switching device (12) is made thinner than an outer region (4.2), clamped between the contact areas of the lower housing part (1) and the housing cover (2), characterized in that lugs (6) are plugged onto the switching rockers (5) by means of catches (7), in that the inner region (4.3) of the diaphragm (4) is made flexible and is an uninterrupted surface which for its part has protuberances (4.5) adapted to the outer contour of the lugs (6), and in that pairs of opposite springing-back catch arms (8) are formed on the operating rockers (3) in the middle region of the underside facing the switching device (12), by means of which arms the operating rockers (3) are clipped onto the lugs (6) at the same time as the protuberances (4.5) of the diaphragm (4) are held clamped in between.
