Abstract (en)
Provided is a switching device for guiding a vehicle (A) having horizontal guide wheels (1) along vertical guiding surfaces of rails of a track and thereby selecting the course of the vehicle. Vertical guiding surfaces of auxiliary rails (12L, 12R) provided only in a switching section (S) of the track are located opposite vertical guiding surfaces of main rails (11L, 11R) with equal height. A swingable rail (12M) for selectively switching the course of the vehicle (A) is integrally connected to the corresponding main or auxiliary rail. The connecting portion of the swingable rail (12M) is reduced in lateral stiffness and thereby made bendable, and the free end portion of the swingable rail (12M) is also reduced in the lateral stiffness and thereby made laterally deformable.
