Eine Vorrichtung zum Sammeln von Tennisbällen, mit einer über die Breite der rückwärtigen Platzbegrenzung verlaufenden Sammelrinne (3), einer von der Platzfläche zur vorderen Kante der Rinne (3) verlaufenden Schrägfläche (1) zum Auflaufen der Bälle, einer Anordnung zum Führen der in die Rinne (3) gelangenden Tennisbälle entlang der Rinne (3) zu einer Sammelstelle (9) und mit einer über der Rückseite der Rinne (3) angeordneten, die Aufprallenergie der Tennisbälle sämpfenden Fläche, wobei die Dämpfungsfläche mit einer Rückwand (7) von der Rückseite der Rinne (3) nach oben an die obere Grenze des Bereichs, in dem der wesentliche Anteil der Bälle auftrifft, als Dachabschnitt (5) nach vorne schräg nach unten über die Rinne (3) und dann als Unterdachabschnitt (6) schräg nach unten rückwärts bis in Abstand von der Rückwand (7) in Winkeln zueinander und zur Platzfläche geführt ist, dass auftreffende Tennisbälle (A-D) in die Rinne (3) abgelenkt werden, und die Schrägfläche einen Steigungswinkel hat, dass von dieser abprallende Bälle gegen die Rückwand (7) abgelenkt werden.
