A process for feeding a mixer (2) with a plurality of mix components which are dry and powdery at least in part, e.g. for a building material mix, wherein at least one of the mix components as the main component (10) is of relatively heavy and/or coarse constituents, wherein at least one of the mix components as the aggregate (11) is of relatively light, powdery of finely divided constituents, the aggregate (11) being of relatively small quantity in comparison to the main component (10), wherein the mix components are charged into a feeding vessel (4) in a weighed and/or metered state and wherein after all the mix components have been charged the entire material to be mixed is discharged into the mixer (2), characterized in that after the aggregate (11) has been charged into the feeding vessel (4) at least one of the main components is charged, the aggregate (11) being upwardly covered by these main component(s) (10).
