The flexible heating element consists of granules (1) of PTC material and of an organic insulating plastic, which is flexible in the hardened state, as a binding agent (2) for the granules, the thickness of the strip (15) and the dimensions of the granules (1) being matched to one another such that each granule has smooth surfaces (5, 6) on opposite sides which make contact, without any barrier layer, with granules (1) having current-carrying coatings (7, 8) and a flexible contact layer (11, 12) is provided on each current- carrying coating. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Das flexible Heizelement besteht aus Körnchen (1) aus PTC-Material und aus einem organischen, im ausgehärteten Zustand flexiblen isolierenden Kunststoff als Bindemittel (2) für die Körnchen wobei die Dicke des Bandes (15) und die Abmessungen der Körnchen (1) derart aufeinander abgestimmt sind, daß jedes Körnchen an gegenüberliegenden Seiten Schliffflächen (5, 6) aufweist, die Körnchen (1) mit Stromzuführungsbelägen (7, 8) sperrschichtfrei kontaktiert sind und auf jedem Stromzuführungsbelag eine biegsame Kontaktierungsauflage (11, 12) vorhanden ist.
