[origin: EP0123137A2] The device is especially suitable for supporting the barriers of an ice hockey rink. Supports (4), on which barrier elements (3) are suspended, are screwed onto an anchoring member (10) with interposition of an elastically resilient rubber sheet (16). Said anchoring member comprises an anchoring board (12) with a plurality of downwardly projecting, irregularly arranged tie bolts (17). Due to the irregular arrangement of the tie bolts (17), the anchoring member (10) can be installed in various positions of angular rotation so that there is no conflict with any cooling pipes (5) already installed in the floor. Due to the elastic mounting of the supports (4), the risk of injury on collision of a player is substantially reduced. <IMAGE>
