[origin: US4556160A] A roll holder includes a base plate and two yokes pivotally supported on the base plate. One of the yokes is a suspension yoke having a free arm for holding a roll with a tape material thereon and another yoke is a braking yoke for braking the rotation motion of the roll when a portion of the material is to be torn-off from the roll. The braking yoke also has a free arm which overlaps the free arm of the suspension yoke and has a U-shaped cross-section so that the free arm of the suspension yoke without the roll thereon can be inserted into the free arm of the braking yoke and the roll holder can be folded.

Es wird ein Rollenhalter mit einer Grundplatte (2) einem Aufhängebügel (4) und einem Bremsbügel (6) beschrieben, wobei die beiden Bügel (4, 6) im wesentlichen U-förmig ausgeführt und mit je einem verkürzten Schenkel an der einen Seite der Grundplatte (2) dergestalt schwenkbar in axialer Ausrichtung gelagert sind, daß die beiden offenen Seiten der Bügel (4, 6) in entgegengesetzte Richtungen weisen. Auf den inneren freien Schenkel (12) des Aufhängebügels (4) kann z.B. eine Papierrolle (14) aufgeschoben werden, auf deren Oberfläche der freie Schenkel (16) des Bremsbügels (6) aufliegt. Die Papierbahn (20) wird über den Schenkel (16) geführt, der beim Abreißen der Papierbahn (20) stärker gegen die Oberfläche der Papierrolle (14) gepreßt wird und die Bremswirkung erhöht. Der Rollenhalter gemäß der Erfindung weist bei einfachster Montage keine verlierbaren Teile auf, und die Lagerungsstellen sind im montierten Zustand nicht sichtbar. An den beiden Bügeln (4, 6) vorgesehene Rasten ermöglichen die Bestückung des Rollenhalters mit einer Hand.
