Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0123671A2] 1. A drilling device, in particular for rotary percussion drilling of rock or the like, having at least one rotary or percussive drive (5) with at least one plug-in stump (9) for the multi-part drill column (30), whose parts are connectable to one another via internal and external threads, the drive (5) being longitudinally displaceably disposed on a drill carriage (8), holding members (7), e.g. opened wrenches or the like for the drill column (30) projecting into the bore and a further drive (19), e.g. a fluid-driven motor, being provided on the carriage (8) for releasing the drill column (30), the further drive (19) turning, via pinions (20) and external toothing (22), a rotor (21) carrying at least one gripping element (28) and being rotatably disposed in a housing (17) and thereby turning a part of the drill column (30), the gripping element or elements (28) having working faces (29) which, when disposed on the drill column (30), form an angle equal to or smaller than the self-locking angle, and a cam device being provided to ensure that the gripping elements (28) mesh in when the rotor (21) rotates, characterized in that a ring (32) is mounted in the rotor (21), the ring having at least one cam (33) for the gripping elements (28), which is or are securable by a housing (17) surrounding the rotor (21).
