Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0123898A2] An electronic accordion organ consists of an accordion (10) whose operating elements, i.e. buttons or keys (15, 16) actuate electrical switches in addition to the accordion valves, it being possible for oscillators or oscillator groups of a control unit to be controlled as desired by means of the switches. In order also to be able to use a diatonic accordion for an organ of this kind, in which the nature of the sound produced is dependent not only on the particular button or key actuated but also upon whether the bellows (13) is extended or compressed, a pressure sensor (17) is connected to the bellows (13) of the accordion (10) and adopts different electrical states depending on whether the bellows (13) is being extended or compressed, or is not under load. At least two oscillators in the control unit (20) are assigned to each switch and, as a function of the electrical status of the pressure sensor (17), one of the oscillators in each case is switched through to generate the sound. <IMAGE>
