Abstract (en)
The storage system consists of a driveable towed-array storage device 2 and a towed-array guide tube 3, installed between the pressure body 4 and the cladding or outer skin, the towed-array guide tube 3 extending to approximately above the plane of the propeller 7. By rotation of the towed-array storage drum 2 to the left or right, the towed-array can be deployed or retracted again from both submerged and surfaced submarines. This process is supported by an array deployment aid 9. The towed-array storage device can be designed as a storage drum and, in submarines, is accommodated in the free-flooding external space 1. <IMAGE>

Die Aufnahmevorrichtung besteht aus einer antreibbaren Schleppantennenaufnahmeeinrichtung 2 und einem zwischen Druckkörper 4 und Verkleidung oder Aussenhaut eingebauten Schleppantennenführungsrohr 3, welches bis etwa über die Propellerebene 7 hinausreicht. Durch Drehen der Schleppantennenaufnahmetrommel 2 links oder rechts herum kann die Schleppantenne, bei Ubooten sowohl im getauchten als auch im aufgetauchten Zustand, ausgebracht bzw. wieder eingeholt werden. Dieser Vorgang wird durch eine Antennenablaufhilfe 9 unterstützt. Die Schleppantennenaufnahmeeinrichtung kann als Aufnahmetrommel ausgebildet sein und ist bei Ubooten in dem frei durchfluteten Aussenschiff 1 untergebracht.
