[origin: EP0124399A2] An electric vacuum regulator (EVR) (20) in response to a pulsed electric signal regulates its output vacuum value. The pulsed electric signal, which is generally generated in an electronic control unit (26), is typically duty cycled so as to mix input vacuum with some other source of air pressure, such as atmospheric, to achieve the desired level of output vacuum.
