Abstract (en)
Mixt. of radioactive waste (I) as satd. slurry in water, a resin, and a monomer is prepd. so as to form an emulsion from water in the slurry then a hydraulic binder is added to form a concrete. Emulsions are described in US4115336 and 42049PP, Au 513486 and 515778. Pref. resin is a polester, partic. unsatd. Monomer is unsatd. Hydraulic binder reacts hydraulically with water, partic. chalk, cement, or pozzuolana. Emulsion also contains stabiliser.

L'enrobage de déchets radioactifs consiste dans la préparation des déchets en saturation dans l'eau de stockage pour ensuite les mélanger avec une résine et un monomère, formant ainsi une émulsion à laquelle on ajoute un liant hydraulique pour réaliser un béton. Ce procédé permet d'enrober les déchets de façon stable, avec le blocage de certaines radiations et sans danger de voir le container fuir.
