Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0125489A2] 1. Contact apparatus for the contacting of electrical cable conductors (1) with busbars (15), consisting substantially of a housing of insulating material (14), open at both ends, and of at least one connection lug (2) of large surface area, with at its one end a pair of contact fingers (3, 4) pressed resiliently together and with at its other end a clamping lug (5) for the contacting retention of the cable conductor (1), characterized in that a deflecting tab (21, 22) is attached transversely to the direction of introduction of the connection lug in a wall (20) of the housing of insulating material (14) running approximately parallel to the broad sides of the connection lug (2), which tab is provided in its freely yielding end region with at least one catch (27, 28), which for its part engages behind an edge of a recess (11) in the connection lug - preventing its return - and in that the connection lug has on at least one of its narrow sides a projection (9, 10) which, in the inserted and engaged position of the connection lug in the housing of insulating material (14) comes up against a housing projection (16, 17) protruding into the housing interior and thus prevents an introductory movement of the connection lug going beyond the engagement position.
