Abstract (en)
A method and a device for applying labels in selected directions to packages are described, one surface of the label bearing adhesive and the opposite face bearing print markings. Conveying devices for the package ensure that the latter is presented to an application station. The label is held by support devices in such a manner that the printed side is situated on the side of the support device, and holding devices hold the label, wherefrom an application station comes into engagement with the label and applies the latter to the package. In order to select the directions of the label to be applied, a device and a method are proposed which can be used to achieve a precise and accurately controlled redirection of the label before engagement with an applicator nozzle. The device (26) comprises apparatuses (62-74) for the selective rotation of the label-holding apparatus (40) from a first orientation to a second after the label (22) has been fed to this apparatus (40) and before the application apparatus (24, 50) engages with the label, as a result of which the orientation of the label upon attaching to the package (10) can be selectively controlled. <IMAGE>

Beschrieben werden ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Aufbringen von Etiketten in ausgewählten Richtungen auf Verpackungen, wobei eine Oberfläche des Etiketts Klebestoff und die gegenüberliegende Fläche Druckmarkierungen trägt. Fördereinrichtungen für die Verpackung sorgen für das Vorlegen derselben an einer Aufbringstation. Das Etikett wird von Stutzeinrichtungen derart aufgenommen, daß die bedruckte Seite auf der Seite der Stützeinrichtung liegt, und Halteeinrichtungen haltern das Etikett, von wo aus eine Aufbringstation mit dem Etikett in Eingriff tritt und dieses auf die Verpackung aufbringt. Um die Richtungen des aufzubringenden Etiketts auszuwählen, werden eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren vorgeschlagen, mit welchem eine präzise und genau gesteuerte Umorientierung des Etiketts vor dem Eingriff mit einer Aufbringerdüse erreicht werden kann. Die Vorrichtung (26) weist Einrichtungen (62-74) auf für die wahlweise Drehung der Etikettenhalterungseinrichtung (40) aus einer ersten Ausrichtung in eine zweite nach dem Zuführen des Etiketts (22) zu dieser Einrichtung (40) und vor dem Eingriff des Etiketts durch die Aufbringeinrichtung (24, 50), wodurch die Ausrichtung des Etiketts beim Anheften an der Verpackung (10) wahlweise steuerbar ist.
