[origin: US4564972A] This nozzle attachment consists of a casing containing a fixed sole and a moving plate supporting a brush, a rocking nozzle pivotably mounted about a shaft in the casing, the internal conduit whereof opens onto a center duct in contact with said sole, a sleeve wherein is rotatably fitted a suction tube and which is pivotably supported by said rocking nozzle, the internal conduits of said sleeve and said tube being connected in an airtight manner with the conduit of said nozzle, and a floor bearing roller mounted in a freewheeling manner about a shaft supported by said rocking nozzle at the back of said casing. In accordance with the invention, said sleeve is pivotably mounted on said rocking nozzle about a shaft located between the nozzle's swiveling axis with respect to the casing and the centerline of the floor-contacting surface of the floor bearing part.

Le suceur comprend un boîtier (1) contenant une semelle fixe (12)et une platine mobile (22) portant une brosse (21), une buse basculante (5) montée pivotante autour d'un axe (10) du boîtier et dont le conduit interne (9) débouche dans celui (6, 7) d'une cage centrale (2) en contact avec la semelle, un manchon (25) dans lequel est montée tournante une tubulure d'aspiration (36) et qui est supporté à pivotement par la buse basculante, les conduits internes (37 et 38) du manchon et de la tubulure étant raccordés de façon étanche au conduit (9) de ladite buse, un galet (28) d'appui au sol monté fou autour d'un axe (27) porté par la buse (5) en arrière du boîtier (1). Selon l'invention, le manchon (25) est monté pivotant sur la buse basculante (5) autour d'un axe (30) situé entre l'axe (10) de pivotement de celle-ci sur le boîtier (1) et la partie médiane (Cs) de la zone de contact au sol de l'élément d'appui (28).
