[origin: EP0125998A2] The dimensions (height, width, thickness) of the door are all adjustable to match an existing doorframe of given dimensions. In this respect, each leaf comprises two parallel panels (1, 2) through which holes (77) are drilled, and U-shaped edge profiles which are each composed of two L-shaped profiles (67, 68) assembled so that the distance between their two parallel ribs (21, 22) is adjustable, the U-shaped profiles themselves being mounted adjustably on the panels by means of slots (22), holes (77) and nut and bolt sets (75, 76, 78, 79) having blocking means. Spacers are additionally provided to maintain a suitable constant distance between the panels, and the locking mechanism is adapted to allow the said dimensions to be varied. Application to the production of security doors which can be installed by the non-specialist. <IMAGE>
