Abstract (en)
[origin: WO8401888A1] A slipper-bath is provided with a water bath tank (2) provided at the head of the bath tub (1) as well as with a collector (3) located under the bath tub (1) and collecting the bath water. The discharge valve (6) of the bath tub (1) is larger than that of a conventional bath tub, thereby allowing to rapidly empty the tub (1). A movable side wall (4), once retracted by sliding, releases completely the seat portion so as to enable the aged, the crippled or the physically handicapped to use the present tub. The portion (4) is transversally curved as an arc of a circle and the curvature center is at (7). In the upper region (4'), the portion (4) is bent outwardly, wherein said region (4') forms an extension of the tub bottom (9) owing to the portion (4) which is pushed under the tub bottom (9) so as to facilitate the entrance to the tub.
