Abstract (en)
The headlamp has a paraboloid primary reflector (11) with an upwardly-pointing optical axis (12), and a semi-paraboloid secondary reflector (15) situated on top, whose optical centre is identical with the outer focal point (14) of the primary reflector (11). A stop (17) forming the bright/dark boundary of the dipped beam is arranged between the focal point (14) and the apex (18) of the secondary reflector (15). Alternatively, the primary reflector (11) can be constructed in a paraboloid fashion transverse to the vehicle's longitudinal centre plane, and the secondary reflector (15) can have the form of a conical section or different conical sections or mathematically describable points or corresponding zones, so that the disc (24) covering the headlamp need not have optical media. The headlamp has a short horizontal overall depth, and a low exit aperture. <IMAGE>

Der Scheinwerfer hat einen paraboloiden Primärreflektor (11) mit nach oben weisender optischer Achse (12) und einen obenliegenden halbparaboloiden Sekundärreflektor (15), dessen optischer Mittelpunkt identisch ist mit dem äußeren Brennpunkt (14) des Primärreflektors (11). Eine die Helldunkelgrenze des Abblendlichtbündels formende Blende (17) ist zwischen dem Brennpunkt (14) und dem Scheitel (18) des Sekundärreflektors (15) angeordnet. Alternativ kann der Primärreflektor (11) quer zur Fahrzeuglängsmittelebene paraboloid ausgebildet sein, und der Sekundärreflektor (15) kann die Form eines Kegelschnittes oder unterschiedlicher Kegelschnitte oder mathematisch beschreibbarer Punkte oder entsprechender Zonen aufweisen, so daß die den Scheinwerfer abdeckende Scheibe (24) optische Mittel nicht aufweisen muß. Der Scheinwerfer hat eine kurze horizontale Bautiefe und eine niedrige Austrittsöffnung.
