Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0127013A2] 1. A housing for a refrigeration appliance, particularly a domestic refrigerator and/or upright freezer, of which the upright side walls (1) perpendicular to the opening plane at the front are provided with inwardly bent marginal strips (4) at their edges associated with the door opening of an inner container, the back and the top and bottom, while the edges of an additional top wall (2) and bottom wall (3) are likewise provided with inwardly bent marginal strips (4) and the adjacent edges of the bends (5) of the side walls (1) and of the top wall (2) and bottom wall (3) respectively, engage closely one over the other, and having holding means (6) on the marginal strips (4), which are provided for a front flange (7) of an inner container and a rear wall (8), characterised in that all holding means are U-shaped plug-in receivers (6) which extend in the longitudinal direction of the marginal strips (4) and surround the front flange (7) of the inner container and the rear wall and that in the region of one corner of the housing, the marginal strips (4) with the holding means (6) of a first wall (2 or 3 or 1) is shortened by the height of the marginal strip of the adjacent wall (1 or 2 or 3) and the marginal strip (4) with the holding means (6) of the other wall in each case is shortened in length by the thickness of the material of the first wall and that the relieved corner region (9) of the first wall engages between the end face of the holding means (6) and the marginal strips (4) of the second wall.
