Abstract (en)
1. A thermally insulating modular construction unit comprising a thick exterior insulating panel (1) of substantially parallelepipedic shape, and a rigid and thin interior panel (4) which are parallel to each other and connected by spacer members (2, 62, 82), characterised in that the exterior panel (1) is covered on its large side opposed to the spacer members with a definitive facing (10) of a water-proof material resisting shocks and ultra-violet rays and decorative, and the exterior insulating definitive facing panel assembly (1 and 10) has, at its periphery, means (3, 55, 56) for recovering and canalizing water whereby it can flow and be discharged to the exterior.

Ce bloc comporte un panneau extérieur épais et thermiquement isolant (1), qui est relié par des écarteurs (2) à un panneau mince intérieur (4). Ce panneau (4) est suffisamment rigide pour permettre à l'ensemble de constituer un coffrage de coulée de béton. En outre, un parement (10) est monté sur la face externe du panneau épais (1) et lui donne l'aspect esthétique désiré pour le bâtiment, tout en assurant la protection de l'isolant. Les tranches opposées des panneaux ont des formes complémentaires qui permettent leur assemblage par simple emboîtement. Ainsi la construction d'un mur, et même d'un bâtiment, s'effectue très rapidement, sans aucune intervention ultérieure à l'extérieur du bâtiment, tandis que le béton assure la résistance de l'ensemble.
