Bei einem Sturzhelm mit einer vorzugsweise annähernd kugelförmigen Kalotte (1) wird bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten eine Verminderung der am Helm angreifenden Windkräfte dadurch erreicht, daß die äußere Oberfläche der Kalotte (1) eine Verwirbelung der Luftströmung an der Oberfläche produzierende, nebeneinander angeordnete Unebenheiten (5, 5', 5") aufweist.
