Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0128475A2] The invention relates to a device for a cylinder lock with a cylinder housing (18) having a cylinder core (20) and tumblers (86) which are actuable by control faces of the associated key (2). The device also contains an automatically resetting security element (80) which is arranged in front of at least one of the tumblers (86) and which is displaceable into the key channel (15) or the cylinder housing. Next to the key channel (15), a recess for a bridging element (100) of the key is provided in the cylinder core, and when the key (2) is inserted fully the security element (80) is displaced into a free space (102) and therefore into the key channel (15). To improve security against unauthorised sensing and actuation, whilst at the same time ensuring a low outlay and a small amount of required space, the recess (94) and the bridging element (100) are present only in the region of the free space (102) and of the security element (80), arranged in the cylinder core (20) is a lever (88) which is actuable by the key bit (4) and which is coupled to the security element (80) in such a way that, with the key (2) withdrawn, the security element (80) engages in the reset position into the cylinder housing (18) with a blocking effect, and with the key (2) inserted fully the security element (80) is displaced into the cylinder core (20) and completely closes at least the key channel (15). <IMAGE>
