[origin: EP0128869A2] A resting board (1) is held in its oblique position by a support (2) which is connected in an articulated manner with said resting board. The resting board (1) and the support (2) are connected to each other via a connection element (4), e.g. a cable or a chain. The resting board (1) is supported on the floor by its lower end (1a) and has a foot holder (7) in the region of its upper end (1b). Said foot holder consists of a lower heel rest (8), which is fixedly connected to the resting board (1), and an upper ankle rest (9). The latter is attached to a bar (10) which is connected to the resting board (1) by means of a joint connection (11). The bar (10) is extended beyond the ankle support (9). This extension part (10a) is provided at its end with a holding grip (13). For opening the foot holder (7), the bar (10) is swivelled in the clockwise direction by raising the holding grip (13). The foot holder (7) is held in the closed position by the weight of the person resting on the resting board (1). <IMAGE>
