Cable clamp for a cable connector having a housing and with two clamp parts (7, 8), interconnected by screws (9), for clamping-in of the cable, of which clamp parts (7, 8) the one (8) is movable in a slideway (12), the sliding direction of which is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the screws (9), this clamp part (8) being designed as a sliding piece, characterized in that the other clamp part (7) is immovably fastened on a support (1) fixed with respect to the cable connector, and in that the support (1) is fastened releasably and reversibly on a corner of an outer casing (16) for the cable connector and bears the slideway (12) for the movable clamp part (8).
