The title machine is a double-lift open-shed Jacquard machine with crossing knives, with U-shaped, two-legged hooks which have at their feet one each of a main hook and, below main needles, a catch for retaining the warp wires in the raised position which cooperates with a top shed knife, the hooks being pressed down by the main needles until the knives have crossed, and also with a bottom board, arranged at a distance below the top shed board, and a harness. In order to make the hooks shorter and to be able to operate the Jacquard machine at higher speeds, it is proposed that the catches (3) should be arranged on the hooks (1) displaced towards the foot, that two bottom boards (13, 14) should be arranged spaced-apart close underneath the top shed board (12), within the movement zone of the catches (3), and in that the hooks (1) should have close to the lower ends of their front leg (1a) a bulge (16) which cooperates with the upper bottom board (13), and at the hind leg (1b) a run-up incline (17) which cooperates with the lower bottom board (14). <IMAGE>

Gegenstand der Effindung ist eine Doppelhub-Offenfach-Jacquardmaschine mit sich kreuzenden Messern, U-förmig geformten, zweischenkligen Platinen, die an ihren Schenkelenden je einen Haupthaken und unterhalb von Hauptnadeln eine Hochhaltenase besitzen, die mit einem Hochfachmesser zusammenarbeitet, wobei die Platinen solange von den Hauptnadeln abgedrückt werden, bis die Messer sich gekreuzt haben, sowie mit einem im Abstand unter dem Hochfachrost angeordneten Führungsrost und einem Harnisch. Um die Platinen kürzer auszubilden und die Jacquardmaschine mit höheren Tourenzahlen fahren zu können, wird vorgeschlagen, daß die Hochhaltenasen (3) zum Fuß hin versetzt an den Platinen (1) angeordnet sind, daß dicht unter dem Hochfachrost (12) im Abstand voneinander zwei Führungsroste (13, 14) angeordnet sind, die im Bewegungsbereich der Hochhaltenasen (3) liegen, und daß die Platinen (1) nahe dem unteren Ende ihres vorderen Schenkels (1a) eine Ausbuchtung (16) besitzen, die mit dem oberen Führungsrost (13) zusammenarbeitet, und am hinteren Schenkel (1b) eine Auflaufschräge (17) besitzen, die mit dem unteren Führungsrost (14) zusammenarbeitet.
