[origin: EP0129872A2] The invention solves the problem of providing a new junction contact element on a single-wire conductor (1), especially on a cable conductor, which allows the implementation of a branching connection at any selected point along the single-wire conductor (1), or at its end, without any form of sleeve. The junction contact element according to the invention is characterised in that it is formed from a stripped section (2) of the single-wire conductor (1) and is formed with a flat (3) over a part of its length such that its thickness is approximately one third of the external (maximum) cross-sectional dimension of the single-wire conductor (1), and in that the flat (3) is provided at least with one perforating opening (4) and a slot-shaped cut-out (7) in the contact surface (6). <IMAGE>
