Lace closure eyelet edging for shoes, whereof the eyelets (12) are insertable through openings (23) in the shoe upper (21) or in an attachment part (22, 26) to be connected to said upper, characterized in that the eyelets (12) are connected by their base (13) with a substantially straight, rod-shaped bar (11) and comprise one part therewith, wherein the bar segments (14) adjacent to each single eyelet (12) have a length to the side of the eyelets which corresponds to half the distance of the openings (23) in the upper (21) or the attachment part (22, 26), and that the bar segments (14) between and to the side of the eyelets (12) abut the underside of the upper (21) or the attachment part (22, 26) along their entire length between the openings (23) for the eyelets (12).
