1. A protective helmet structure comprising a swingable visor having lateral tabs, lateral pivot means pivotally mounting said table on opposed sides of the helmet so that the visor is swingable about said pivot means, characterised in that the upper edge of the helmet opening which is able to be closed by the visor, has a projection (5) forming an abutment, in at least a median part thereof, distance (b) between apex of said abutment (5) and axis joining said pivot means (8) about which axis the visor (E) is swingable being a little greater than radius (a) of a circular path travelled through by the median point of the visor on an inner surface of an upper edge portion of the visor.

Ce casque de protection, du type comportant un écran rabattable ayant des pattes et des organes d'articulation latéraux au moyen desquels il est articulé sur les côtés opposés du casque, présente sur le bord supérieur de l'ouverture fermée par l'écran, un bourrelet (5) en saillie formant butée au moins dans sa partie médiane, la distance (b) entre le sommet de ladite butée (5) et un axe passant par les points d'articulation (8) autour desquels tourne l'écran (E) étant un peu supérieure au rayon (a) du trajet circulaire suivi par la surface interne du bord supérieur de l'écran au point médian de celui-ci, lesdites pattes latérales de l'écran (E) étant articulées sur des bossages effaçables élastiquement disposés dans l'épaisseur de la paroi latérale du casque (1) et ne faisant pas saillie à l'extérieur de celui-ci.
