Abstract (en)
The boiler block (1) is surrounded by a casing or expendable shell (2) which has recesses for connection lines and a combustion chamber opening of the boiler block. Subsequently, there is introduced into a hollow space (3) between casing or expendable shell (2) and boiler block wall a foamable resin solution which if necessary is foamed after the addition of suitable hardeners and foaming agents and fills the hollow space (3), forming a porous insulation jacket (7) which adheres to the boiler block surface and to the shell (2). A diluted phenolic resin solution, which is foamed cold, is suitable as resin solution. <IMAGE>

Verfahren zur Isolierung eines Kesselblocks, bei dem der Kesselblock (1) mit einer Verkleidung oder verlorenen Schalung (2) umgeben wird, die Aussparungen für Anschlußleitungen und eine Feuerraumöffnung des Kesselblocks aufweist, und daß anschließend in einen Hohlraum (3) zwischen Verkleidung oder verlorener Schalung (2) und Kesselblockwandung eine verschäumbare Harzlösung gegeben wird, die gegebenenfalls nach Zusatz geeigneter Härter und Schäummittel verschäumt wird und den Hohlraum (3) unter Ausbildung eines porösen, an der Kesselblockoberfläche und der Schalung (2) festhaftenden Isolationsmantels (7) ausfüllt. Als Harzlösung eignet sich eine wäßrige Phenolharzlösung, die kalt verschäumt wird.
