[origin: US4515542A] An apparatus for the production of reconstituted tobacco foil comprises a double sheet former with two movable endless screens in a y-shaped arrangement. A wedge-shaped box fills most of the space where the screens approach one another and with its upper side forms a reservoir for the aqueous suspension, from which the foil is precipitated.

Beschrieben wird eine Einrichtung zur Herstellung einer rekonstituierten Tabakfolie aus einer einem Doppelblattbildner zugeleiteten wäßrigen Suspension feingemahlener Tabakabfälle, wobei zwei in ihren Blattbildungsbereichen etwa V-förmig zusammenlaufende Siebe vorgesehen sind, zwischen denen ein sich nach unten verjüngender Verdrängungskörper angeordnet ist. Die Oberseite des Verdrängungskörpers (1) ist als Wanne (9) ausgebildet, in welche die Zuleitung (16) für die Suspension mündet.
