Abstract (en)
In the process, a flat piece of knitting (1) is firstly produced which contains an essentially rectangular blank (1a) for each mitten. In each blank (1a), the inner (2) and the outer hand part (3) are joined together along the hand edge (4). During the knitting of the flat piece of knitting, an outer thumb part (6) is knitted onto the free longitudinal edge (5) of the outer hand part (3) and it continues in the sleeve part (4) up to the sleeve edge (4a). An incision is then made in the blank from the side of the mitten tip between the outer hand part (3) and the outer thumb part (6) down to the base line (D) of the thumb and in the sleeve part (4) and the inner hand part (2) from the sleeve edge (4a) to the base line (D) of the thumb at a width (B1) corresponding to the width (B) of the outer thumb part (6), by which means an inner thumb part (7) is formed. When the two hand parts (2, 3) and the sleeve parts (4) have been laid on top of each other, the open edges of the latter and of the thumb parts (6, 7) are sewn together and superfluous knitting parts are removed. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei dem Verfahren zur Herstellung von flachgestrickten Fausthandschuhen stellt man zunächst ein Flachgestrick (1) her, welches für jeden Handschuh ein im wesentlichen rechteckiges Rohstück (1a) enthält. In jedem Rohstück (1a) hängen das innere (2) und das äußere Handteil (3) entlang der Handkante (4) zusammen. An der freien Längskante (5) des äußeren Handteils (3) wird beim Stricken des Flachgestricks ein äußeres Daumenteil (6) angestrickt, welches sich in dem Stulpenteil (4) bis zum Stulpenrand (4a) fortsetzt. Das Rohstück wird dann von der Handschuhspitzenseite her zwischen dem äußeren Handteil (3) und dem äußeren Daumenteil (6) bis zur Daumengrundlinie (D) und vom Stulpenrand (4a) her das Stulpenteil (4) sowie das innere Handteil (2) bis zur Daumengrundlinie (D) in einer der Breite (B) des äußeren Daumenteils (6) entsprechenden Breite (B1) eingeschnitten, wodurch ein inneres Daumenteil (7) gebildet wird. Nach dem Aufeinanderklappen der beiden Handteile (2, 3) und der Stulpenteile (4) werden die offenen Ränder derselben und der Daumenteile (6, 7) unter Entfernung überflüssiger Gestrickteile zusammengenäht.
