[origin: US4652469A] The invention concerns the use of working bodies of low density in vibratory abrasive finishing machines for the smoothing of articles of wood, particularly articles of furniture, between the undercoating and varnishing thereof. The working bodies have either the shape of angular resin-free wooden pins of a size of 4x4x30 mm and an average Shore A hardness of about 95 DEG to 100 DEG or a flat base opposite which there is a head surface corresponding to the shape of a spherical segment.

Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung von spezifisch leichten Bearbeitungskörpern in Gleitschleifvibratoren zur glättenden Bearbeitung von Holzteilen, insbesondere Möbelteilen, zwischen Grundierung und Lackierung derselben, wobei die Bearbeitungskörper entweder die Form kantiger, harzfreier Holzstifte der Größe 4 × 4 × 30 mm besitzen und einen Härtegrad im Mittel von etwa 95-100° Shore A aufweisen, oder sie besitzen eine ebenflächige Basis, welcher entsprechend der Form eines Kugelsegmentes eine Kopffläche gegenüberliegt.
