During manufacture of a cathode ray tube a grid (electrode or electrostatic lens) of an electron gun disposed in this vacuum tube, is heated. For this purpose, using a generator (11) a specified voltage is applied between the cathode (15) of the gun and the grid (10) so as to generate a current for heating this grid. The parameters of the power circuit are such that the intensity of the current is practically insensitive to the dimensional variations in the cathode (15) and in the grid (10) and to the variations in distance between cathode and grid, so that the temperature reached by the grid remains above a specified threshold. <IMAGE>

Au cours de la fabrication d'un tube à rayons cathodiques on chauffe une grille - électrode ou lentille électrostatique - d'un canon à électrons disposé dans ce tube sous vide. A cet effet, à l'aide d'un générateur (11), on applique une tension déterminée entre la cathode (15) du canon et la grille (10) de façon à engendrer un courant de chauffage de cette grille. Selon l'invention les paramètres du circuit d'alimentation sont tels que l'intensité du courant soit pratiquement insensible aux variations de dimensions de la cathode (15) et de la grille (10) et aux variations de distance entre cathode et grille afin que la température atteinte par la grille reste supérieure à un seuil déterminé.
