A constructional element (1), of the type comprising two bases and four non-plane lateral faces, in opposite pairs, and for forming a tight-fitting wall by encasement of the lateral faces of identical elements, in which two of these opposite lateral faces (4, 5) are symmetrical with each other relative to a median plane (M) and have a first profile having a centre of symmetry (C), whilst, of the two other opposite lateral faces (6, 7), one (6) has the same first profile and the other (7) has a profile which complements this first profile. <IMAGE>

L'invention a pour objet un élément de construction (1), du type comprenant deux bases et quatre faces latérales non planes deux à deux opposées, et destiné à former une paroi étanche par emboîtement des faces latérales d'éléments identiques, caractérisé en ce que deux des ces faces latérales opposées (4, 5) sont symétriques l'une de l'autre par rapport à un plan médian (M) et présentent un premier profil avant un centre de symétrie (C), tandis que parmi les deux autres faces latérales opposées (6, 7), l'une (6) a le même premier profil et l'autre (7) a un profil complémentaire de ce premier profil.
