Der Schutzhelm (1) hat im Bereich seiner Helmkuppe (6) eine Anzahl von quer zur Anströmrichtung (a) verlaufenden Querrippen (7) und Querrillen (8) die über die Helmoberfläche (10') hinausragen bzw. von dieser zurückgesetzt sind. Durch die Querrippen (7) und Querrillen (8) wird der den Schutzhelm (1) beaufschlagende Luftstrom etwa in dem mit (f) bezeichneten Bereich abgetrennt.
