Abstract (en)
1. A plastic drum (1) which can be closed by a cover (2) and a clamping ring, wherein the cover engages in the barrel opening with an annular web (3) projecting vertically from the under side and engages over the drum opening with its outer edge (4) and a resilient sealing ring (6) is inserted in the annular groove thus formed in the cover, and wherein noses (9) projecting from the wall of the body of the drum below the drum opening and arranged distributed like segments at the circumference are provided as abutments for the clamping ring which, on the other hand, in the tightened state, rests on angular foot portions (11) of cover segments (10) extending downwards into the gaps between the noses of the body of the drum from the outer edge of the cover and so grips the cover on the rim of the drum in a kind of tooth system between segments of the body of the drum and of the cover, characterized in that the clamping ring is constructed in the form of a tension wire (13) consisting of a soft material which is plastically deformed beyond a certain tension which is below the limiting value for permanent deformation of the plastics drum and/or cover.

Es handelt sich um ein Kunststoffaß) das mit einem Deckel (2) und einem Spannring verschließbar ist, wobei der Spannring den Deckel (2) in einer Art Verzahnung zwischen Faßkörper-Segmenten (9) und Deckelsegmenten (10) am Faßhals (1) verspannt. Um zu erreichen, daß die Dichtigkeit zwischen Faß und Deckel auch bei hohen Belastungen, insebesondere solchen mit bleibender Deformation am Faßhals und/oder Deckel, aufrechterhalten bleibt, ist vorgesehen, daß dem Spannring als ein aus weichem, sich von einer bestimmten, unterhalb des Grenzwerts für bleibende Deformation von Kunststoffaß und/oder Deckel liegenden Spannung an plastisch verformendem Material bestehender Spanndraht (13) ausgebildet ist. Der Spanndraht (13) besteht aus Weichstahl und kann eine zumindest am Innenumfang eine Anlagefläche ausbildende Querschnittsform aufweisen.
