[origin: US4624182A] A device for dampening a printing plate of a rotary printing machine having in successive engagement a dampening-pan roller, a metering roller and dampening-medium applicator rollers for forming a very thin uniform dampening-medium film including at least one brush roller cooperatively engaging and rolling on the metering roller, the brush-roller having absorptive brushes on the periphery thereof engageable with the surface of the metering roller for removing at least part of the dampening medium located in excessive quantities at any surface region of the metering roller.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung zum Befeuchten der Druckplatte an Rotationsdruckmaschinen mit einer Feuchtkastenwalze, einer Dosierwalze und feuchtmittelauftragenden Walzen zur Erzeugung eines gleichmäßigen Feuchtmittelfilms mit sehr geringer Dicke, bei der ohne größeren technischen Aufwand eine feinfühlige Dosierung in bestimmten Bereichen der Druckplatte erreicht werden kann.
