Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0132671A2] 1. Pulse generator with two contact units (13, 14) arranged parallel with each other which are actuatable by a cam plate (1), for generating two pulse diagrams for determining an angular position and/or an angular velocity and the direction of rotation of a drive connected with the cam plate or for driving a forward/backward counter, with the pulse diagrams being staggered in relation to each other and overlapping through opening and closing angles of said two contact units staggered depending on the angle of rotation of said cam plate, characterized by the combination of the following features : - the contact units (13, 14) with contact springs (3, 4; 5, 6) running in a straight line are arranged in different planes ; - to each contact unit there is assigned a cam plate (15 or 16, respectively) lying in its plane ; - the two cam plates (15, 16) are formed in the same shape as regular polygons (2) and arranged parallel on a common axis (12) ; - the two cam plates (15, 16) form a structural unit ; - the two cam plates (15, 16) are staggered in relation to each other by an angle (alpha or alpha ') which is smaller (alpha) or greater (alpha ') than half the centrical angle (Z) between two neighbouring cam plates (151-152; ...; 161-162; ...).
